Dunedin House is located in the centre of Huntly, a charming and very important market town in the beautiful rolling countryside of Aberdeenshire. Of historic significance Huntly is strategically located alongside the main A96 road, near equal distance from both Aberdeen and Inverness. The town is also served by a main line railway station on the Aberdeen to Inverness line and has an hourly bus service between the two. The area surrounding Huntly is renowned for not only its beautiful country side but also its fertile land and is agriculturally very productive and steeped in farming tradition. A great number of local businesses support the local farming sector which in turn supports the local economy. Huntly has a very active community and High Street offering a number of amenities and facilities including supermarkets, butchers, bakers, dentists and doctors. The town also has its own primary and secondary school the famous Gordon Schools which dates back 175 years and two Nurseries. Huntly Castle is a popular attraction on the Aberdeenshire Castle Heritage Trail, attracting tourists all year round to see the site which served as a baronial residence for centuries. The area lends itself to a wide range of outdoor sporting activity, from Nordic skiing to salmon fishing, hill walking to stalking. A more leisurely pursuit is visiting and sampling the many wonderful local distilleries.
